To support these goals, KAS offers scholarships to international master’s students and graduates for study and research in Germany. This program fosters intercultural exchange, international networking, and the globalization of universities and research. Regional scholarship selection meetings in 2024 will be held in partnership with KAS offices in India, Tanzania, and Colombia.

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Scholarship provides funding that includes a monthly stipend of €1,400, a family allowance of €470, and € 1,500 per semester for fees related to your courses at the university in Germany.

After finishing their studies in Germany, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung expects its former scholars to contribute actively to the development of their home country’s relations with the Federal Republic of Germany.
Currently our scholars come from 55 countries of the world. Their subjects are various: law, sciences, music as well as medicine, just to name a few.
KAS Scholarship in Germany 2025 Requirements:
To be considered for the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Scholarship, applicants must:
- have a university degree, as we do not provide support for bachelor studies,
- prove above average academic performance,
- have good knowledge of the German language (B2-level),
- be actively engaged in voluntary work,
- plan to study a minimum of four semesters at a university in Germany,
- possess a broad general education and distinct interest in political issues,
- have a positive attitude towards democracy and human rights,
- be open to develop their personal points of view and practice tolerance,
- be highly motivated and able to convince us of their goals in life.

Konrad Adenauer Stiftung KAS Scholarship Duration and Reward
- Graduates (master’s or postgraduate students) receive a monthly scholarship of € 934, while Ph.D. students receive a monthly scholarship of € 1.400.
- Fees resulting from courses at the university in Germany that are directly related to your studies can be refunded up to the amount of € 1.500 per semester.
- Other costs such as family allowance, child allowance, and travel allowace are also covered by the scholarship.
Required Documents for Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Scholarship
To apply, candidates must submit the following documents;
- A meaningful CV in tabular form including details about your previous voluntary work or social commitment.
- Motivation letter.
- Copies of your examination certificates in German translation if the originals are not in English.
- Copies of your studies performance records if you have been studying at a University in Germany.
- Proof of German language skills (B 2).
- An informal academic letter of recommendation
- An informal letter of recommendation concerning the applicant’s personality
- Certificate of admission or matriculation from your university in Germany.

- A detailed description of your doctoral thesis
- A second academic letter of recommendation
- A confirmation of supervision by your doctor-father or -mother.
