Lesson 1: What is Adobe Premiere Pro?

Importing and Organizing Media

Step 1: Import Media Files
Drag and Drop: Simply drag and drop your media files (videos, audio, or images) from your computer’s file explorer directly onto the Project panel in Premiere Pro.

Use the Media Browser:

Go to File > Import.
Navigate to the desired folder and select the media files.
Click Open to import them into your project.

Step 2: Create Bins to Organize Media

Right-click in the Project panel.
Select New Bin.

Rename the bin to categorize your media (e.g., “Footage,” “Audio,” “Graphics”).
Drag and drop media files into the appropriate bins to keep your project organized.

Lesson 2: Organizing Media

Step 1: Renaming and Labeling Media Files
Select the media file in the Project panel.

Right-click and choose Rename.                                                                                  Type a new name for the file.
Add keywords or labels to the file’s description to help with searching and filtering.

Step 2: Using Markers and Comments

Select the specific part of the clip in the Source Monitor.
Right-click and choose Mark In or Mark Out to set markers.

Add Comments:
Select the clip or a specific part of it.
Go to Clip > Add Comment.
Type your comment in the dialog box.

Step 3: Creating Sequences and Sub-Sequences

Create a New Sequence:
Go to File > New > Sequence.
Choose a preset or customize the sequence settings (frame rate, resolution, etc.).
Create a Sub-Sequence:
Select a portion of your timeline.
Right-click and choose Nested Sequence.

This creates a new sequence within your main sequence, allowing for easier organization and editing.
